Popping in to post that our new store hours are in effect. We're open Monday through Saturday from 10 until 5 and Sunday from 11-2.
Hope you're all enjoying the weekend!

Whooo Hooooo! Monday, June 8-2009

Back from Bead and Button! It was a great show-lots and lots of shoppers and people taking classes. Thanks to all that stopped by the booth to say hi.
Now the task of unloading and reorganizing begins...My site will undergo some new changes within the next week. Look for the Killer Bee Bees to FINALLY have their own page. It's taken me a long time to get that going but I've finally done it. They were a huge hit at the show so look for them (temporarily) in the Curiosity Shop later today. My website girl has been working diligently behind the scenes and we're close to uploading the fresh look. I'll be adding some new categories (vintage lucite for one) :0) so keep checking back.

Happy Mothers Day!

I wanted to pop in and wish all you mom's out there a great day (that goes for all you mom's of the animal world as well). The sky has some blue in it today which is a wonderful change from the wet dreary day we had yesterday. However you choose to spend the day I hope it's a good one!
I celebrated my 45th birthday yesterday (I use the word "celebrate" loosely). I wasn't feeling myself from the time I got out of bed and wanted nothing more than to do as little as possible. Scott and Mitch made the day extra special with a cake and gifts and we watched a movie together later in the evening. It was perfect!
During the course of the day I had unexpected visits from friends and family and a few messages from friends singing out of tune on my voice mail. I have the best life :0)
On a business note- We'll be expanding the store hours soon. I'm vigilantly preparing for the Bead and Button Show and have talked with a few girls about picking up some hours to help out. Will post the new hours when they're set.
Have a great day!.........beth

Thought I'd share something that was emailed to me... Happy Easter!

I haven't posted in such a long time :0(
I think I need a course on blogging. Every time I get ready to post something I end up deleting it because it either doesn't make sense or doesn't sound as amusing as I thought when typing it out. Ack.
Winter has went by fast in some respects and slower than I could almost bear in others. I've been working on display changes in the store and have been hauling out my troves of vintage goodies from the back. Because of all this busy work classes have gotten bumped. I'm really sorry for all those who've been waiting to hear when they will start. It sounds as if we may have some classes this summer-I've talked to Stacey and with any luck on my end she won't get hired at her dream job now that she's graduated from college and will be able to work at ACME for a good part of the summer. Rotten of me to say but I love her to death and want her here :0)
I've been busy working on building inventory for the Bead and Button Show. I'm totally changing my booth-it's appearance, layout and what I sell. I will still have my neon signs and fun novelty items but am adding some of my lampwork creations. Last year's show was soooo stressful brought on by no one else but me. Time is flying though. I think it's about 60+/-days to go (give or take a few days). That has me in panic mode. I didn't participate in the Madison Bead Show for the first time since it began.
I felt bad for not being there but I'm trying to learn from the past and realize I can only do so much. I'm going to do my best to post more often!

HAAAAPPPYYYY NEW YEAR!
